Chaco Canyon, April 2003

the landscape at Chaco Canyon

I spent a weekend at Chaco Culture National Park. The park contains several large ruins. The Anasazi lived in the canyon until the 1200's, and then mysteriously disappeared. I'm hardly an expert on this, though. You can find more information on the Anasazi at these sites:
-National Park Service site
-Historical aspects of Chaco Canyon
-Pueblo Bonito
