I thought last weekend's snow might be the last of it for the year, but I was sadly mistaken. Yesterday I awoke to find 3 inches of snow on my car. I would have taken a picture, but I forgot in the distress of trying to clean it all off with a kitchen broom. The children stared fascinated at the window as giant flakes fell for most of the morning. I was hoping the hard packed snow would melt off of our driveway soon, but it seems unlikely. There is snow forecast all week!
I got another new student yesterday, which makes 30. It's getting a bit crowded in there. Counting kids who have left I have instructed 36 children this year, which really seems like a lot. The new student seems fine. She already has friends and I was able to buddy her up with someone for most of yesterday. Lucky for me my kids are good helpers.
I am taking a class today, so I am living the life of luxury drinking coffee and eating the last of a bread I baked on Sunday night. And I get a lunch hour, too, and not 5 minutes snagged while the kids are outside! (I actually have a scheduled half-hour break for lunch, but it never works out that way, especially if I have things like discipline or incomplete work or copies to make or things to organize for afternoon. Which is most days.) I envy those of you who have a daily hour for lunch. Must be nice.
Have a great Tuesday!
