Friday Five for March 24th.

  1. How’s your car running?
Fine, thanks. It was a little sad this morning because it was -20 last night and I didn't plug in the block heater. Other than that, fine. Time to get the tires changed over soon. You can't drive with studded tires here past May 1st.

  2. How’s your blood pressure?
Um, it was 115 over 70 when I last had it checked at the eye doctor's 2 weeks ago. It's generally right around there.

  3. How’s work (or school)?
Eh. I am trying to get worked up to implement some of the things I've learned at my cooperative learning class this week. Report cards go out tomorrow, so most of the cooperative learning stuff has been waiting for those to get done. So many kids to retain, so little time… Just kidding. I'm retaining just one. If I could turn back the hands of time I would have had him repeat the first grade this year instead of being completely lost all year in second grade. Alas.

  4. How’s 2007 so far?
Pretty good. Cold, though. We went to the Ice Park last night, but managed to not freeze to death. I do have some nice pictures of us with frosty eyelashes. A cloud from my breath is in every picture.

  5. How’s your hair?
Not too bad. I am due for a highlight, and I can tell when I part my hair. It's chin length and layered a little, and worn parted in a bob. Exciting, huh?

I'm sorry, I'm much too wiped to write you a real entry. So I'll be answering a 2 week old Friday Five on Saturday. My spring break begins today and I could not be more…relieved.

  1. How do you feel about teeter-totters?
Wonderfully dangerous and frightening in the absolute best way. Now when you do see them, and rarely at that, they have covered springs and are not nearly so splintery, death-defying and…fun as they used to be. A shame, I think.

  2. What is something you otter get done this weekend?
Well, I've done my taxes and renewed my car registration so I'm ahead of the curve there. I need to clean the house and pack for our tip to Anchorage next week. And drink lots of wine and eat bread a cheese. Maybe not in that order.

  3. Who’s someone who seemed normal when you first met but got odder and odder as you got to know him or her?
Hmmmm. To be totally honest with you I think most people fit the bill here. Offhand, I do have a coworker who seemed pleasant and friendly and competent when I first met her, and is now showing herself to be completely unhelpful and dishonest and sneaky. I am not inpressed.

  4. Thinking of your mother: What’s something that always awed her?
Anyone spending money for any reason? My mom is a total scrooge. Of course, she has money in her savings account so maybe I shouldn't judge.

  5. What is your favorite small, furry, non-domesticated animal?
I enjoy hedgehogs, but they're neither furry nor non-domesticated. Chinchillas? I can't think of any small, furry non-domesticated animals that I enjoy. I'm not so much with the rodents.

Happy Daylight Savings!
