Happy Birthday to my baby, who deserves all of the hideous purple cakes the world has to offer.

And many more.

So, what have I been up to?
We are all moved into the new apartment, though we still have no couch (it will be here on June 1st), and our books are still packed (we have some shelves we plan to sand and refinish). The apartment is great. The water is a little icky because it's well water, but it comes out of the tap anytime I want. I like that part. We got a microwave and we have a dishwasher (and the aforementioned water on-demand) and I've been cooking most nights. I haven't really cooked since I moved up here, so that's been fun.
School finished up on Monday, and we've spent the rest of the week getting ready for the upcoming summer sessions. I am not working with the same teacher, and this new classroom is a lot better organized and interesting. Our summer classes are full of 3 year olds– lots of parents start their little guys out in the summer rather than waiting until the fall. Since Montessori is a 3 year program (ages 3-5), the 4 and 5 year olds theoretically know how to function in the classroom with a minimum of assistance. We'll have to teach all of the 3 year olds– yikes!
I quit the fabric store job, so now I only have 2 jobs instead of 3. Monday was my last day, and I felt no sadness of farewell. I did earn myself one of those nifty scissor-shaped pins. I have no idea what I'll do with it. If you earn 10 of them you can turn them in for a gold pin with a diamond, but I just didn't have time. Darn it.
Camp is going– I'm a little stressed about the hiring, but it should come together in the next few weeks. I hope. I've been working there most afternoons. Lately I've been doing lots of data entry– getting all of the kids' names and information into a big spreadsheet. Tedious, but I'm pretty much done now.
I think that's about it. I'm going away this weekend– we rented a public use cabin in one of the state parks. I should have pictures next week.
